764mm for 240×120mm modules and 815mm for 320×160mm modules. These are hard mechanical limits determined by the flexible PCB substrate and silicone chassis dimensions — not by pixel pitch. A column under 764mm cannot be wrapped with standard DOIT VISION flexible modules. Contact Kris for custom module options for smaller diameters.
Module count per ring = (column circumference × 0.78) ÷ module width, rounded. For a 1000mm diameter column with 240mm-wide modules: circumference is 3,142mm, × 0.78 = 2,451mm, ÷ 240 = 10.2 → 10 modules per ring. Enter your diameter in the calculator above for the exact count.
A trim strip covers the remaining 15–20% where module edges meet at the rear of the column — positioned facing a wall and never visible. The 78% application factor is the industry standard. Attempting 100% coverage with fixed-width modules would require custom edge trimming, introducing damage risk and voiding warranty.
Flexible modules conform to curves, not sharp 90° corners. For a square pillar, build a curved metal frame around it that smooths the corners into a rounded profile. DOIT VISION provides CAD drawings for square-to-round conversions. Alternatively, use four rigid LED panels meeting at the corners.
It’s feasible with 240×120mm modules, but the bend stress is at the rated maximum. Recommendations: (1) use GOB modules to reduce handling damage risk during installation; (2) fabricate the steel frame to a slightly larger outer diameter (770–774mm) if the architectural column allows — a 6–10mm increase makes no visual difference but significantly reduces long-term PCB stress.
